Monte Campanador: traditional hospitality and state of the art facilities Monte Campanador is a large scale development in Portugal's beautiful southern Alentejo region. The initiators own 207 hectares of beautiful gently sloping hills with a rich flora and fauna. In addition 150 hectares of leasehold land has been obtained to be able to create a man made lake of 100 hectares. There is approximately 90 hectares of land available to create one of the nicest golf courses in Portugal. In April 2006 the Portuguese national authorities gave a PIN status to the project, which indicated that the Monte Campandor development is a project of national interest. The masterplan includes approximately 460 homes, an 18 holes golfcourse, tenniscourts, a wellness center, a traditional town square and several playgrounds where children can enjoy themselves. The natural beauty will be preserved and many green zones will remain untouched.The whole development will treasure the existing assets of Monte Campanador.
